Responsibilities
This job has two main roles: table service and budtending. For both you’ll be greeting and serving customers in a fast-paced, local/international coffeeshop environment, handling transactions accurately and balancing the cash register. You will be expected to work a combination of days, evenings and weekends. English is required, Dutch highly beneficial, and other European languages are very helpful in this dynamic position.
Duties and Activities
* non-stop active table service: take orders, serve orders and clean up afterwards
* prepare beverages & snacks
* clean and maintain the drinks bar
* check ID for proof of age
* help customers with menu info and recommendations
* measure and dispense cannabis orders for customers
Requirements
* Successful candidates for The Rookies will be efficient, observant, energetic and good-natured.
* 18 years and older
* BSN and/or valid work permit if required
* Lives in the Amsterdam-area
* Horeca/hospitality experience is an advantage but previous experience is not required, as long as you’re eager to learn!
* Enjoys working with people, clear communication skills in English
* Reliable, responsible and quick: takes initiative, keeps active through their shift
* Approachable, customer-friendly personality and neat appearance
* Able to stand, walk, etc. for extended periods, and occasionally lift & carry horeca supplies
